Auristor

From ACCRE Wiki

AuriStor is recommended for groups who need a network file share but do not expect to process large amounts of the data on the ACCRE cluster. The primary design of AuriStor is to provide a low-cost storage service for accessing files and running analysis through local workstations and desktops. There are several advantages to AuriStor, including built in encryption and auditing, a single global namespace for file path consistency across all operating systems, VUnetID authentication, ability to delegate group management to designated lab members, and uniform permissions scheme for Windows, MacOS, and Linux (no risk of permission conflicts between POSIX and NFSv4 ACLs).

Please note, an active VUNetID is required for accessing the Auristor service. If you or your lab members do not have an active University VUNetID, you may request one ahead of time by emailing VUIT at it@vanderbilt.edu. In the email, include your full name, your external email address to receive your claim code, and a brief explanation of your request, "VUNetID required to access the Auristor storage service".

Additional documentation for Auristor, including the client installation instructions, can be found on the [Auristor SharePoint site]. To access the SharePoint site, you will need to login with your VU email address and password.
