Users or research groups are welcome to install software themselves in their home or data directories for personal usage.

Please note that if you believe that the software is broadly beneficial to the ACCRE user community, you can submit a Software Installation Ticket to request that our team install academic software on the cluster. Once installed, the software will be accessible to all users via the module load command.

Building Software in home/data

Because our software stack is based on the Alliance Canada software stack, any software you compile must be compatible with that environment. You can follow Alliance Canada's official documentation for guidance, as it also applies to our cluster: https://docs.alliancecan.ca/wiki/Installing_software_in_your_home_directory.

Support

If you require assistance with a local installation, ACCRE offers paid support services for compiling and installing software for individual users or research groups. To request this service, please submit a software installation ticket through the Software Installation Ticket, and be sure to specify that your request is for a local installation.
